MAITLAND, FL— In his new book, More Than Survival: For a Failing Church, ($16.99, paperback, 9781498415118; $8.99, e-book, 9781498415125) Jon Adams addresses some harsh truths about the Christian church body of today. His observations, insights, and prodding are much needed as the church is, indeed, facing possible extinction at the rate that things are going. Readers will experience a rude awakening, but not without receiving a strategy to correct things. The author shares how the church can regain an experience of the presence and power of God.

“As a whole, the church in the developed world has almost no concern for the lost, does not experience the power of God, and has little biblical understanding of how to become holy,” states the author. “We are in crisis and, yet, are unaware we have lost the biblical characteristics that define Christianity.”

Jon Adams was born on the east coast of Australia, but has spent most of his life in North America. He attended university in Canada, studied theology in St. Francis College in Australia, and received an M.A. in religious studies from the University of Calgary. He has a wife, and a married daughter. He currently resides in Vancouver, where, when he is not writing, he dreams of having the time to simply go fishing.
