MAITLAND, FL— In her new book, Behind
the Covering: A World of Difference, ($16.49, paperback, 9781498416979;
$8.99, e-book, 9781498416986) Sharon Spring opens up about her
rollercoaster ride of a testimony. The author’s life story starts off with the
foundation of Christ in the context of a Mennonite Christian upbringing, thanks
to two faithful parents. The road quickly becomes rocky as she is rejected by
the church in a heartbreaking way. Moving forward, Sharon makes a few decisions
that, later, have a lasting negative affect on her life. Devastated by a failed
marriage and her mother’s death, the author finds her way back to God’s loving
arms when it seemed like all was surely lost.
“My story contains all the elements of a Mennonite Christian family life: love, faith, hope, pain, loss, sin, and regrets,” states the author. “Overshadowing every tear, I knew God was near to see me through my darkest moments due to my spiritual upbringing, which has helped me to overcome my personal struggles. I'm hoping that my story will open many doors for the reader to become free of entanglements by letting it all go, and starting a new beginning with God.”
Sharon Spring was raised as a Mennonite. She set out to serve the Lord sharing to the world God's love. Her parents instilled truths about God's Word, and lived it for seventeen years until Sharon was denied communion, which turned her world upside down. For thirty years she lived in poverty of the spirit, being fearful of life itself, lost her faith in God, and turned to worldly pleasures. Facing rock bottom when her mother passed away challenged the author’s faith. She is now set free of addictions, and shares the proof that Jesus is the answer for all within her book.
