MAITLAND, FL— Within the new book by Jane Cordell and Tiffany Waters, entitled No Sweeter Roots, ($16.49, paperback, 9781498421003; $8.99, e-book, 9781498421010) readers will be reminded of the core of Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth, which seems to have been tragically forgotten over the years. The authors call their readers back to the “sweet roots” that Christianity is based on—love—love for God, and for one another. This book is an in-depth study that the authors hope will draw its reader into a clearer understanding of the Scriptures and a more personal relationship with God.

“This book is about how to live the life of a genuine disciple—being a learner, and then a doer of the Word of God from a heart that is in the process of being molded into the image of the heart of God,” state the authors. “It is our prayer that as readers reason with us through the Scriptures, they may experience the joy of rediscovery of the pure message of Christ, ‘rooted and grounded’ in the sweet love of our Savior; a love that will define us as His disciples when we allow His love to flow through us toward one another.”

Jane Cordell is a respected Bible teacher with twenty years of experience leading in-depth Bible studies for women. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and has worked as an accountant, a medical transcriptionist, and a homemaker, raising three boys and mentoring many young women in their walk with Christ. She has taught in church ministries serving preschoolers to college students to adults. The author and her husband of thirty-six years reside in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Tiffany Waters is a close friend who has co-taught Bible studies with Jane for the last six years. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and has worked as a social worker and insurance associate. Tiffany is married, a mother of four, and a gifted vocalist. Her infectious enthusiasm is a perfect complement to Jane’s academic rigor, and together they have encouraged many women to dig deep into the Word and apply it in their daily lives. She is currently a homemaker heavily invested in her children’s lives, and in the lives of those hungry for an encounter with God.
