MAITLAND, FL—Within the pages of the new book written by Eugene Lee McDuffie Sr., Angels Without Wings: Dare to Believe, ($10.99, paperback, 9781629522302; $5.99, e-book, 9781629522319) readers will be informed of the prevailing problems of gang life and its effects on society, particularly the youth. This book empowers individuals and families through case studies, root issues, destructive cycles and more. It also equips concerned community leaders and parents how to help their kids from this pitfall in their teen years, and read testimonies from older gang members as well.
“My objective is
to educate the reader,” states the author. “Gang members
are the ones affecting the quality of education, which in turn, affects college
performance. [That in turn] affects job industry and businesses. People who
have families will never truly comprehend those who don’t choose the gang
family [life as opposed to those] who do, in order to not be utterly alone. ”
Eugene Lee McDuffie Sr. was a psychology major, attended Teen Challenge, and graduated from Bible school. He is the recipient of the 2002 Human Relations Award and 2006 Youth Leadership Award, primarily due to his work in aiding young people to stay out of gangs. His previous book, Missing Love Child, documented the difficult history of someone silenced by abuse or neglect. McDuffie is also a motivational speaker invited to talk at conferences, colleges, and churches; he also serves his community as a youth advocate and community outreach specialist.
