MAITLAND, FL— The new book by Jean Galica, My Heart for My Land, ($16.99, paperback, 9781498435581; $8.99, e-book, 9781498435598) is about the resilience of the human spirit in surmounting and conquering obstacles to obtain a goal. The author points out that many times, in pursuit of dreams, one can be tempted to connive and take shortcuts to get there. Through these lessons readers can learn not only to depend on God, but they come to terms with who they really are and what they really value.

“I believe it does show man in his weaknesses and [how] they can fail, but there is restoration through truth, integrity, and doing what is right by others,” states the author. “It shows human relationships authentically.”

Jean Galica, with her husband, resides in California in the Silicon Valley. Together they have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. In addition to her love for writing, Jean is a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice. Her grandparents were homesteaders in the early twentieth century. The author’s fascination with the Wild West, homesteaders, their lives, their struggles and victories won emanates from the many stories she heard as a youngster and her life experiences growing up in Montana.
