MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Ray Last’s
new book, Wandering - My Pursuit Of God And Music, ($31.99, paperback, 9781498447010) readers
will discover the colorful life of musician Ray Last with incredible stories
from his days of rock and roll. Unless a person lived through the decades of
the 60s and 70s, readers may find many of the stories in this book to be almost
unbelievable. The author learned that difficulties along the way often become
useful tools to shape and strengthen character. His pursuit to find God took a long,
curvy road but he DID accomplish his goal. The book exposes the deception of
substance abuse and false spiritual practices while boldly proclaiming the
extremely good news of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for us. Ray
Last now travels the world, fully preaching the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus pursues us with His great love, compassion and mercy,” states the author. “He desires to give us real fulfillment and purpose in life. This book will encourage and inspire those who are still searching or have given up hope for themselves or loved ones. It is a most happy ending that leads into a new and joyful beginning.”
Ray Last was actively involved with performing in rock and roll bands for nearly fourteen years – from 1964 to 1978. He was openly living the decadent lifestyle that was a natural outcome of that profession. He eventually and unfortunately became a hopeless suicidal alcoholic. From the late 60s to mid 70s, he was deeply involved in searching for God through numerous cults and religions. He used drugs to delve into the supernatural in an attempt to attain enlightenment and creative stimulation.
