Jeff R. Smith lives in a suburb just north of Austin, TX with his wife and twin-boys. He is an alumnus of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the University of Southern California (USC). Jeff has worked for a local hi-tech firm for the past 16 years, but maintains a passion for writing and he has co-written a thematic series children's curriculum that is being used today in a local church. Varla's Gift is his first published book, but he plans on many others. A description would be incomplete without sharing Jeff's other passion: barbeque. His pork spare ribs and Texas beans are always in high demand from family and friends.
