Brother J’s father served in the U.S. Air force so he has lived in many different locations. Attending school in Illinois, Minnesota, Texas and Japan, Brother J learned to understand and appreciate different ways of life. He attended Sul Ross State University and University of Arizona, studying Range Animal Husbandry and Agronomy. For 45+ years, Brother J and his wife have been in the Ranching business, raising sheep, goats, horses, cows and managing wildlife. At age 27, he was led to the Lord. One year later, he was called to serve the Lord in a special way – at the Texas Mexico Border with the River Ministry of Texas. There, he taught the Bible, conducted worship services, lead in Vacation Bible School and traveled door-to-door sharing the message of Jesus Christ. He graduated from Criswell Bible College in 1985. He has been on Mission trips to many countries but has always found time to also serve in his local church. In October 2001, Brother J began writing for a local newspaper and has been proudly writing ever since.
