MAITLAND, FL— Frank S. Kacer’s new book, Christian Fratricide - Why Christians Continue to be Divided Politically, ($16.49, paperback, 9781498462525) explores the Christian community’s inability to exercise strong, united political influence – a consequence of a widespread lack of spiritual leadership, a general disunity amongst Christians in understanding how to engage politically, and a poorly developed biblical foundation to guide Christian activism. The consequences are helping to create an environment ever more hostile to the proclamation of the gospel. Kacer identifies the root causes of this ineffectiveness and practical ways to overcome them. He identifies three interrelated problem areas: pastoral leadership, Christian divisiveness, and ineffective political engagement. The book gives practical advice on how to do kingdom work in political minefields for personal good, the common good and ultimately for the sake of the Gospel. The author stresses that Christian political activism is an area of ministry just like any other that desires to glorify God. It needs to be shepherded, resourced, and passionately pursued in a Biblically based, Christ honoring, legal manner. This requires pastoral wisdom and membership maturity working together with other like-minded churches and organizations to ensure Biblical values are reflected in how the nation is governed for the common good and religious freedoms.

The Christian community has a Biblical calling to be the moral conscience to this nation,” states the author. “If we don’t faithfully fulfill this role in the political realm then those that don’t share our values will not just do so, they will force those values on us all with dire consequences.”

Frank S. Kacer has been an Elder at Grace Bible Church since 1990. He is responsible for Outreach ministries and has been a Christian political activist for twenty years. Besides authoring over 160 columns and commentaries on Biblical politics for Good News, etc., the Christian Examiner, and on-line with the Washington Times “Communities” and Communities Digital News, Frank is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer for churches, para-church and political organizations, and a church-based salt & light ministry organizer.
