MAITLAND, FL— Robert W. Wilson’s new book, FLAME OF GOD – A Love Story, ($25.49, paperback, 9781498448154; $9.99, e-book, 9781498448161) is a work of fiction based on the Song of Solomon in the Bible. The three-character presentation of the Song of Solomon is ancient and widely accepted. Wilson explains that it can be traced back to a twelfth-century Rabbi, one Ibn Ezra. This is the story of Ammi who after her father dies, leaves her with two brothers and widowed mother. Ammi meets Ashur and they fall in love. Unfortunately her brothers and the mother do not approve of this relationship. Anxious to protect the reputation of their sister, the brothers send Ammi to the North Country to work in the vineyards. King Solomon discovers her for her beauty and takes her into his palace. The king is struck by her charm and intelligence. He vows to seduce her into his harem, promising to raise her above all his queens and concubines.

I hope that the reader would come away with an appreciation of the three-character translation of the Song of Solomon,” states the author. “I pray that Flame of God motivates some to seek their soul mates in the church, resisting Satan and the sensual temptations of this world, and coming together in holy marriage. And encouraging others to rise above broken relationships, carving out a commitment that is pleasing to God.”
