MAITLAND, FL— Kristy K. Kraft’s new book, True Treasure, ($19.99, paperback, 9781498463010; $29.99, hardcover, 9781498463027; $9.99, e-book, 9781498463034) tells the story of Eric, a young boy who sets out to find adventure, not realizing what else he will find along the way. His generous heart is evident to the ship's crew, and he recognizes and appreciates God's presence in his life, on his sea adventures and upon returning home to his family. Even at his young age, he serves as a good influence to all of those around him. A special Christian message is tucked within this adventure story – a reminder of how words and actions can show God's love to others. The story is written full of anticipation, and the illustrations by Adam D. Augustine help the reader to imagine and place themselves within the scenes. Experiencing this book can be a very special time, shared between generations.

I hope children will enjoy the adventure of the story, and the detailed illustrations that go along with it,” states the author. “I hope that the story helps readers realize that we can be a messenger of God's love, no matter where we go and no matter who is with us. I want readers to be intrigued about the mention of treasures in heaven, and will read their Bible to learn more.”

Author Kristy K. Kraft grew up in Iowa, but has lived for many years in Kernersville, NC. She wrote this story as a bedtime tale for her three sons, incorporating each boy into the story line. Her family enjoys boating and Kristy has enjoyed several cruises and stops at tropical islands. She writes from a Christian perspective – being a life-long Lutheran continuing to grow in her own faith – and desires to share Christian messages with others.

Illustrator, Adam D. Augustine (Kristy’s son) grew up in Kernersville, NC, where he developed artistic talents at East Forsyth High School. He also enjoys Smith Mountain Lake, where he excels at knee boarding. He is pursuing a degree in Engineering at NC State University, where he is also a member of the Sailing Club.
