The inspiration for this book came as a result of Donalyn’s work at US Airways (formerly Piedmont and now American). Her love of flying, traveling, working with people and assisting with their travel needs was something she really enjoyed. The book is a reminder and testimony of God's faithfulness through the joys and trials of life. She cleverly mixes airline lingo with spiritual insight to allow readers to view the similarities between the travel world and Christian life. Throughout the book, she reminds readers that through the "ups and downs" of life, God loves everyone unconditionally and His Grace is sufficient in all things.

Donalyn P. Knight is a graduate from Stetson University in Deland, Florida with both a B.A. and M.A.Ed. She has 20 years experience meeting the needs of the traveling public and is now retired. Being taught by her flight instructor dad to fly airplanes, has given Donalyn an extensive overview of the airline industry and the "ups and downs" associated with flying and traveling. She is currently the Founder and President of The Spirited Athlete, Inc., now in its 11th year. The Spirited Athlete, Inc. has an inspirational and motivational product line from a Christian viewpoint as well as presenting College-Bound Athlete Seminars to athletes, parents and coaches, and presenting Motivational Seminars for Coaching Staffs. She also taught high school for 38 years at Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida and has over 16 seasons of extensive athletic coaching experience. In addition to her new book, she is also the proud author of Lessons from the Ocean. It is obvious by her endeavors that she has a real zest for life, and that is directly related to her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
