MAITLAND, FL— Steven M. Baumann’s new book, Be My Friend - A Parent And Child's Guide For Making Quality Friendship Choices, ($25.99, paperback, 9781498474153; $9.99, e-book, 9781498474160) is a must-have tool for parents and their children in relationship choices – especially with today’s social media frenzy. It provides a speaking platform for kids to be open about their friendships. A child’s honesty helps parents understand why some of their children’s friends tend to bring the best (or worst) out of their children. The author has integrated his observations of friendships and incorporated biblical truth together to build a foundation for design in friendships. As the ultimate in role models, learning from Jesus and his approach towards relationships form the backbone for all relational priorities. This book will help parents and kids learn about themselves as well as the friends that children keep with the understanding that NOT all kids should be a child’s best friend.

The modern world has brought influences on our kids that in past generations we never experienced before,” states the author. “The Internet, movies, music, radio have influenced a whole generation of children with tragic consequences. While outside influences remain strong, the key is still in friendship making. More than ever, kids need to make wise choices in their choices for great friendships. What is a parent to do? Is there anything that one can do to set children right? Be My Friend is a practical tool to help kids and parents make positive friendships for life's journey.”

Steven M. Baumann earned his Undergraduate degree in History from Bethel University (St. Paul, Minnesota), and his Masters in Christian Education from Bethel West Seminary (SD, CA).
