Bill spent the vast majority of his younger years serving time in the toughest penitentiaries in the United States. He was at rock bottom and he called on God for help. God miraculously saved Bill and ultimately led him to running. Bill found strong revelations while on the run and wants others to know that it’s not just a form of exercise but running also leads to a better quality of life. In his book, he highlights the moments in his life where God stepped in with an obvious, overwhelming presence.

Bill O'Shields is a South Carolina resident, an avid runner who completed 13 marathons with a personal best of 3:11:49. His highest finishing position was 11th overall and 2nd in the Master’s Division in the Run Hard Marathon in Columbia 2014. He also competed in three Ultra 50k trail races with one appearance resulting in him being the first overall male. Bill was featured in the Nov. 2011 Issue of Runner’s World Magazine. He loves the mountains and feels truly blessed to live at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
