MAITLAND, FL— Steve Spinnett’s new book, The Individual - Breaking the Rules of Conformity to the Status Quo and the Appetite of Its Institutions, ($14.99, paperback, 9781498478953) lays out clearly why Americans are losing their creative and industrious edge in the marketplace. He examines why people of faith are getting more religious but less effective in today’s culture. The author brilliantly makes his case as to why Americans are in a societal downward spiral with no guaranty of recovery. He stresses that unless Americans experience a national repentance from individuals within the Christian community, a return to their moral authority and a paradigm shift away from their indulgence in its institutions. The good news is that Steve is confident that America can be great again – accomplished only by returning to the roots that made America great the first time. Steve believes in the individual, that government exists for the protection of individual liberties. He also believes that as the religious institutions go, so goes society, and that is why he’s sounding the alarm today. This book is a quick but thought provoking read – one that readers will not want to put down until the last page.

“I want to validate and encourage those who are disillusioned with religion,” states the author. “To encourage the individual that you are our future – regardless of your background – and even if you are perceived as an outcast, oddball or identified as a radical.

Steve Spinnett didn’t graduate from high school and didn’t go to college. He educated himself through inspiration of his Christian faith. A successful businessman, Steve lives with his wife Cindy in Damascus Oregon, a suburb of Portland in which he served as mayor for two terms. Steve and Cindy have three adult children who work in the family businesses. Steve calls himself a rich man because he gets to see his wonderful kids every day. He credits the writing of this book to his time spent in business, religion and politics – ant the many things that he learned while experiencing first hand.
