MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Stephanie Anne Handley’s new book, A Touch Of Red, ($15.49, paperback, 9781498480918) readers will meet Amber. After being raped by a family friend at an equine endurance race, she escapes into the wilderness with her stallion, Splash. Her world is unexpectedly shattered. She struggles for survival until unforeseen complications put the lives of both she and her beloved horse in further jeopardy. Plagued by nightmares, her faith in God begins to wane. How could He abandon her to such a dreadful fate? Faced by the inability to return home she must find a way to overcome her greatest challenge. Suddenly, she meets a handsome stranger and everything in her world changes again. Can Amber find the path God set for her and learn to trust and love again? Or, did one night really shatter everything?

Through all of her heroine experiences, Amber realizes that God is her strength and her faith continues to grow. By the end of the story, she knows it was all because of Him that she survived and was able to find the future He planned for her. The trials she faced were the reason she found her happiness. Author Stephanie Anne Handley wants readers to know if they hold tight to God, He will see them through what would be impossible for them to handle on their own.

I hope readers find and embrace emotions and realize the importance of relationships, not just relationships with God but with animals and other people as well,” states the author. “I hope it lets them see how one moment with a stranger can change everything if we trust in God and let Him lead us in all ways. With the simple examples of faith and miracles I hope it can give those who aren't strong in faith a good experience.”

Stephanie Anne Handley has a vast experience with animals of all kinds but especially with horses. She is 22 years old and has worked with horses for more than 10 years – training them and interacting with them on a level she never knew was possible. Stephanie believes that God used horses to save her and ultimately horses are what brought her to Him. Her own Tennessee Walking Horse named Splash, was the inspiration for the stallion in the novel. Her passion for horses burns strong and she wanted to share the connection that exists between horses and those who truly love them.
