MAITLAND, FL—In J. Lindsey Nimmons, Jr.’s new book
A Textbook About…”The
Life of Jesus, The Son of God” ($17.99, paperback, 9781498489355; $8.99,
eBook, 9781498489362) readers will get a clearer understanding of the
gospels and of Jesus, the son of God. They will be affected emotionally and
come to love and appreciate Jesus more, as well as understand things about
Jesus that they never understood before.
Nimmons says, “Unlike any textbook I have ever read or know anything about, I believe students of the Bible and persons wanting to know the facts about Jesus’ earthly life will learn things they never would realize anywhere else. Most scholarly books on Jesus’ life are so scholarly that the average Christians, and especially Non-Christians, are left ignorant of the truth about Jesus.”
Lindsey Nimmons, Jr. is a native of Houston, Texas, and had a conversion experience in a revival meeting at the First Baptist Church in Anderson, South Carolina when he was nine years old.
Later, in New Waverly, Texas, while he was reading the Bible, in the
summer of 1951, he felt an inner assurance that God wanted him to be a minister
of the Gospel. He has been a gospel minister for 65 years. He earned the B.A.
Degree in Religion from Baylor University at Waco, Texas in 1954; he earned the
Master of Divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill
Valley, California in 1958. He devotes his life to making Disciples for Jesus
Christ and leading Christians to become like Christ.
