NEW BOOK ENCOURAGES ADULTS TO READ TO CHILDREN EVERY DAY

Also provides a way for children to build their own reading skills

MAITLAND, FL—Dy Ann Maddox’s new book, Read to Me ($10.99, paperback, 9781498494304; $5.99, eBook, 9781498494311)   was written to encourage parents, guardians, teachers, and anyone who spends time around children to read to them every day. This daily activity creates the ability to help children build up their cognitive skills. It also helps develop a desire within them to listen, and to want to learn to read eventually themselves. Children will get smarter and read better as the time continues. Adults will become more involved daily with the children they care for, creating a joyful, and loving commitment with them.

Dy Ann Maddox says, “ I believe that reading books to children gives them a great start in life. It helps them go to places they may never go, and see good things they may never get exposure too. It shows the desire of a child, that has obviously been read too many times, and the child still wants this to be done over, and over again. This is what reading to them every day will do.”

Dy Ann Maddox is a former childcare provider, and has continuous training in this particular area, including helping children to personally grow forward. She also has an Early Childhood Development Associate Degree. Maddox had to write her first child book as a final exam in 2002 or 2003, in a literary class for children. She was amazed at the completion of the book, and was told by her college professor that it could be published. This was an encouragement for the writing of the many books she has already written and her son, Allan Maddox, illustrates for her.
