MAITLAND, FL—Susan Pettit’s new book Color My World ($25.99, hardcover, 9781545600702; $14.99, paperback,
9781545600696;
$7.99, eBook, 9781545600719) is a treasury of hope and encouragement for the broken
hearted and discouraged. This five to ten minute-a-day devotional and prayer
journal contains thirty-one days of light and love for the weary. It also has
pages to journal your own thoughts and prayer reflections. Susan shares from
her treasure chest, jewels of hope and encouragement that the Lord gave her in
the blackest hours. These word pictures share how the Creator showed His love
and colored her dark world with the brilliant light of courage and inspiration
for her, and now for the reader as well. The author shares her personal deep
and dark moments to give the reader a reason to believe they can rise above
their present circumstances by putting their trust in God's promises. Color My World will empower each reader
each day, as they turn the eyes of their heart in faith to their Creator, and
believe that His Words are faithful and true this moment and forever.
Pettit says, “Color My World has the unique distinction of being a devotional on
hope and encouragement that also includes many poetic prayers, spaces for
journal reflections and pages for coloring as the reader chooses. This book was
designed to be complete without any journaling or coloring, yet as the reader
puts their own heart and thoughts into the book, it transforms into their own personal
story. It is my hope that the reader gains strength, courage and confidence in
the Lord right where they are in life. Our Jesus is the Light of the world, and
He wants to shed His love and light on each one of us in our everyday lives. It
is through His power, love and words that everyone can live in Him, and become
overcomers into victory.”
The Lord told Susan in
kindergarten she would grow up to be an artist. She immediately began pursuing
her life-long dream. After earning her BA in art, she found herself set apart
in decades of fear, abuse, divorce, widowhood, loss and great hardships. She
put her trust in the Word, God and His mercy and grace, as He worked it all out
for her good. She now knows with complete confidence that, "with God all
things are possible," for the reader as they believe in the living and
powerful promises that only our Lord can make.
