FRANK EDWARD CASSIDY 1947–2003 Frank Edward Cassidy, formerly of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, lived a life full of excitement as a swimmer, a radio operator aboard the USS Henry W. Tucker, a volunteer firefighter, and a professional (aircraft crash rescue) firefighter. He was also a police officer; the tire man on Winston Cup and ARCA race teams; a copastor in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and a stage actor. In 1985, he preached a sermon titled "What Is Born Again?" It birthed a deep desire to write a book based on it. He went into heart failure in 1992. While recovering, he asked God, "Please keep me alive long enough to finish this book." After several months in hospital waiting for a heart transplant, Frank went home to be with Jesus on July 1, 2003. Three weeks before Frank died, his wife, Marilynn, told him that the printers had given her a proof copy of the book. It was finished! She made a commitment to him to oversee its distribution. The news brought him great peace! All that was valuable and precious to him at the end of his life was to please the Lord Jesus Christ by offering Him to everyone. He is doing it through the pages of this book.
