Jodi Bowman Scully was reared in the small southern mill-village town of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina. She married Jr. Bowman during her senior year of high school and gave birth to her first child, Martha Christina "Christy," at the age of eighteen. Most of her married life she spent rearing and nurturing her family. She has one other child, Daniel, who is now twenty-nine years of age. God began to use Jodi in the writing of poetry and songs during the fall of 1981. She has had one song recorded and another one published in a church-conference songbook. She has also had several poems published in poetry anthologies. She worked as secretary/bookkeeper/receptionist during her brief career. Jodi is a member of the Pentecostal Holiness denomination, where she has been active throughout her life in various capacities. She now resides in Belton, South Carolina.
