God's Servant of Courage: It's Only a Test! deals with faith, courage, and trusting God during times of trial as a Christian. An inspirational book that features the life of Rev. Brian Henderson, it examines the tests and trials the author faces during changing times on Chicago's West Side, where the odds of African-American children succeeding are stacked against them. Throughout his growing-up years Henderson's faith is stretched as he learns to trust the Lord in dealing with racism, dating problems, unemployment, peer pressure, and much more. The book also examines the author's faith through the call to the ministry, achieving a master's degree, experiencing the events of 9/11, and surviving divorce. Readers will learn that whatever God takes you to, He will see you through. As Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Author Profile

Rev. Brian Henderson is a minister, author, and award-winning former cable-access talk show host who grew up in Chicago's notorious West Side. Raised by Christian parents who taught him that he could be whatever he wanted to be, he survived the tough urban streets to go to college and seminary. With fifteen years' preaching experience, Rev. Henderson has served various churches in Chicago and throughout the United States as a youth pastor, director of Christian Education, and director of Evangelism, Outreach, and Television Ministry. Currently he works as a computer lab teacher at St. Monica Catholic Elementary School in Elkhart, Indiana. He is working on his doctorate of higher education at Argosy University in Chicago and also serves as an associate minister at First Baptist Institutional Church in Chicago.
