Book Summary
Because I believe that many readers will be able to identify, I am writing about my own very difficult, yet valuable search to uncover the best answers to life's most difficult questions. This personal quest should sound exciting and adventurous, because it is. Yet, as the truth becomes known, though such words do accurately describe my personal journey, the description is incompleteâ€"until it begins to include some other words, like fear, pain, and discouragement. This book is written to those who wonder about the frailty of their own humanness or sometimes question the availability of God's wisdom and empowering. My prayer is that each page of this book will stimulate, comfort, and encourage as it reveals an incredible invitation extended to each and every one of us.
Author Profile
Diane Slonecker was born in 1941 in Chicago. As a child she was raised in a traditional Christian home. As an adult she began questioning her faith and searching for answers. She became aware of a then newly forming multimedia church called Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. There she experienced a new awaking to and hunger for the Word of God and participated in discipleship, small group study, and the forming of the church's first women's ministry. Later, as a staff member of Woman for Christ Ministries, she also became involved in lay counseling and teaching. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, she writes from over thirty years of personal experience and study. Diane and her husband, Bill, currently reside in Roscoe, Illinois, where she enjoys her family, friends, her job as a realtor, and writing.
