Book Summary
The Bear Cage is the 4th book in the Gohan Thriller Series.
David "Gohan" Rice takes a much needed sabbatical, after the difficulties he endured
in South America, and goes to Moscow, Russia to find his mother-in-law to inform
her of the death of his wife, Svetlana. Because of his CIA ties, the KGB tracks him
from the time he departs the airplane. He enlists the help of the underground
Christian church and, finding that a seven-year old is facing death, puts his life on
the line to save the child.
His search for his mother-in-law takes months, during which time he finds trouble
in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Smolensk, and is ultimately arrested by the KGB and
left to languish, near death, in the dreaded Lubyanka.
The Bear Cage is an engaging story of trouble, persecution, powerful faith, and
perseverance under the worst of conditions.
