This nonfiction book celebrates women and their curves, seen
as not just physical curves but obstacles/challenges that enter into a woman's
path and cause her to doubt her self-worth. Once she realizes her place in
God's plan through Jesus, she will realize more is purposed for her than
originally thought.
Reverend Pam Bowers-Smith, servant of God and of the Lord’s
Church; wife, mother, grandmother, pastor, business woman and girl-friend; While she has been set apart to preach the
Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and serves in the Pastoral Ministry, her true
passion is the teaching ministry.
Reverend Bowers-Smith was licensed into the gospel ministry
by the Second Baptist Church (now known as Cathedral International) of Perth
Amboy, NJ in December 1989. She was ordained
to serve in the Lord’s Church by the Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship &
Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA) under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hilliard,
Jr., Presiding Prelate and Senior Pastor of Cathedral International in
September 1996. Under the direction of
the Holy Ghost and with the blessing of their Bishop, Reverend Bowers-Smith and
her husband, Reverend Joshua Smith, left Cathedral International after 13 years
of service and ministry in various leadership capacities, and began the Bible
Based Church/Christ for the World Ministries, Inc., in February 1996.
Reverend Bowers-Smith is also the founder and director of
“Real Women Have Curves”; a unique ministry to women with a very different
approach; designed to uplift not only the whole woman, but every woman. The annual brunch is the highlight of women
events at Bible Based Church. Women from
all walks of life, ethnicities, religions and persuasions come together under one
roof and the result is always a resounding “wow, look what the Lord has done!” This past year the house was packed with
over 700 women and the expectation for next year is 800.
Reverend Bowers-Smith currently serves as Administrator and
Pastor along side her husband, the Reverend Joshua Smith, at the Bible Based
Church in Somerset, NJ where Jesus Christ is yet Lord.
