This book is a collection of poems reflecting my journey with God over the last couple
of years. During this time I reached some low levels, almost to the point of paralyzation
of my spirit itself, yet His inspiration sustained me. The life He breathed into me
allowed me to record my pain and His healing of that pain. As my journey continued I
went through highs and lows where my emotions overwhelmed me, ranging from deep
despair to leaps of joy. He always brought me back to Him. That is where I needed to
be, in touch with Him.

It is my hope that whoever reads these words will recognize God speaking to them as
He spoke to me.

Having been involved in several vocations throughout my life I presently enjoy working
with seniors in my community. I am a mother and grandmother who appreciates a
quiet life in the country. The desire to write was planted when I was very young and I
have written poetry at various times. Only in recent years has my focus centred on My
Saviour and His words.

“I love the poems that Connie regularly shares with us, her church family. They are
inspirational and a true blessing! The lives they touch go beyond the walls of our
church into the community and beyond.” - Cathy Kiar

“Connie Coughler is a blessing to me and to our whole church family. It has been a
delight to watch her blossom in her relationship with our Lord. As her confidence in His
love has deepened, so has her confidence in sharing her God-created gifts. These poems,
this book, encourage us all to put our hand in His, and go one step at a time, trusting in
His goodness and watch all His possibilities unfold. I know you will be blessed as you
read “To God be the Glory”.

“You can do all He asks of you, Connie, because He is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” Eph 3: 20
(NIV)

It is an honour to call you my friend, my sister in Christ.”
