I awakened on the morning of March 9, 2005 not knowing, from that day on, my life would be forever changed. A brand new single mother with no road map or visitor's guide, I had to find my way. Along the journey, I encountered a plethora of emotions. Some days the heartaches were almost unbearable. Traveling through the peaks and valleys wore me out. The added responsibilities seemed overwhelming. The questions were coming faster than the answers and I often wondered where was God in the midst of all this mess. Soon, I realized that God had not left me. He was allowing my situation to change me and I am so thankful that I allowed Him to come into my life. Mothers, especially you single mothers, you are not alone either. I pray that you will allow the Word to change your life. Let your heart thaw out and began to heal from broken relationships. Release yourself and anyone who has hurt you. Start today. Concentrate on the one who loves you more than life itself.

LaWanda Woods is a native of Virginia and the mother of two exceptional girls, Starr and Paris. Her entrepreneurial spirit coupled with her submission to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is allowing her to walk in dominion to possess all that God has in store for herself and her daughters. She is a businesswoman, dominating the real estate and mortgage business and she’s employed by one of the fastest growing school systems in Virginia. LaWanda is driven by her daughters to be their hero. She continues to instill in them biblical principals that will propel their lives to walk in dominion. Most importantly, LaWanda is a member of a “teaching” church where she continues to grow personally and spiritually.
