Book Summary
The poems in this book have been compiled from 1996 through 2003 and were given to me in my times of trials and struggles. They both comforted me and brought hope into my life. After some encouragement from my husband, friends and family, this book is finally coming to fruition. The publishing of this book is both an ending and a beginning. It is the end of a time of doubt as to my God given purpose in life and it is the beginning of a joyful journey into the depths of that purpose. I am both blessed and inspired by the publishing of this book. And I hope that everyone who reads these poems will find God's wisdom, peace and love in every word!
Author Profile
BARBARA J. WHITENER I am originally from Akron, Ohio. I was in the United States Air Force from February 1984 through November 1995. I permanently moved to the St. Louis area in March 1996 and I currently live in O’Fallon, MO. I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in February, 1988. It has been a journey of highs and lows. The Lord has blessed me to have birthed two sons and I have married into a family of 3 more sons, three daughters and 5 grand-daughters. My husband Howard and I have been married for over four years and they have been some of the best years of my life! We are currently members of Church On The Rock church in St. Peter’s, Missouri and serve in the bookstore ministry.
