Book Summary

The Apostle Paul says in 2 Cor. 6:10c, "as having nothing and yet possessing all things." The message of the Gospel is what could be called the "Great Exchange!" When we are in a state of humility before God and confess our sin, He exchanges death for life and eternal salvation. To posses the reality of God's kingdom on earth is just the beginning as He works in our lives to empty us of "self" so we may be full in Him. Jesus Christ says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3). To be poor in spirit is to have nothing in and of ourselves, in other words, to be empty. To be poor in spirit means to have nothing, but in Him to have everything. The Christian life consists of God's work of emptying us of ourselves, as His fills us with Himself - His love, His joy, His peace, His will and vision for our lives. He gives us His purpose for our lives. This book is written as a weekly devotional that will help guide you towards Christ in your daily life, and can start reading them at anytime of the year.
