Douglas C. Vest: Churchianity Lite:
Book Summary
Prayer has been described as a long, loving look at the Real; and in that sentiment here is a prayerful book. Sometimes it is difficult to look honestly at what we most love - to see clearly in the presence of the Real Holy One, because God is both sustainer and challenger. Churchianity Lite: An Insider's Loving Look reflects on some of the "sacred cows" of the present church that impede an authentic, prayerful relationship with Christ. This book is a serious but not solemn effort to take a long, loving and somewhat challenging look at the beloved institution where Christians worship God. Churchianity Lite offers food for reflective thought and prayer in meditative bites of poetry.
