Dr. Barry Philipp: The Fear Factor: Finding Peace in a Desperate Society
Book Summary
This book is unique because it is the first book to reveal a neurophysiological
connection between fear and many of our social and emotional problems.
By studying how the brain processes fear, this effort unlocks the true sources
and reasons for violence, hate, racism, substance abuse, intolerance and other
societal ills. With this discovery, it is now possible to fully comprehend and
appropriately answer some baffling questions.
> Does man really need God?
> Who is the true and only Savior for all mankind?
> Why do some Americans hate America?
> From a neurophysiological perspective, is Islam a religion of peace?
> Are some politicians controlled by fear?
> Why can’t some parents appropriately discipline their children?
> What causes a seemingly nonviolent person to “snap” and become violent?
Author Profile
Dr. Philipp has discovered a flaw in man’s brain that is
responsible for today’s emotional and societal ills and for the
future of mankind. As a veterinarian, he developed this concept
from observing fear reactions in animals and personal fearful
events. From intensive Civil War and global wars research, he
discovered a hotbed for racism and countless other emotionallybased
societal ills. This information illustrates that man’s brain
cannot adequately process fear in certain instances.
Since his curriculum involved intensive brain studies, he developed a curiosity
about the brain and its ability to generate emotions. He was especially curious
about racism because he observed children born during a war experience a fear
that cannot be controlled. As these children mature the ability to control, or even
recognize this fear, becomes very difficult as it may express itself as stress, painful
negative emotions and associated behaviors throughout a lifetime.
