    Book Summary

This is the true story of a young athlete's battle with cancer. It will lift your spirit and inspire you in the midst of your own struggles. Sonny Shockley was a handsome young tennis star on the brink of a successful career on the professional tennis circuit when a deadly opponent walked onto his court. He met this contender with the courage of a champion. This book will give you a personal view of the last two and half years of Sonny's match of a lifetime and it's filled with faith, love and family. Sonny's passion for tennis and his monthly 1200-mile commutes from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton to Emory Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia for his chemotherapy treatments caught the attention of the press. Through several newspaper articles Sonny's story of determination was in print for young and old to be inspired, and people everywhere were cheering for their new hero. I believe Match of a Lifetime will inspire you as you battle on your court in your game of life. You never know what opponent will challenge you, but God will be there to help you to be victorious in winning your final match.
