Book Summary
Just as ripened produce that falls from the tree has two fates, so it is with each human life that comes to fruition - we may be harvested by our Creator or left to rot on the earth. The choice is ours. We determine our own fate according to the path we choose to follow. 21 Days of Harvest is a tribute to a woman who chose to follow God - to allow the seeds He sowed to take root in her heart and guide her soul on the path of faith and obedience, even when that path led to incurable cancer. This candid account of her final three weeks on this earth offers an intimate view of the transition from life to death, while boldly addressing the age-old question of why bad things happen to good people.
Author Profile
Having spent the majority of her career as a business development specialist, Christine Buckley's life took a dramatic turn in 2007, when she learned that her mother was dying of cancer. The ensuing months brought many trials that caused Christine to question every component of her existence. However, from these trials sprang a triumph of faith that resulted in Christine's first book, 21 Days of Harvest. In this candid depiction of her mother's final three weeks of life, Christine found not only a catharsis for her pain, but a platform from which to proclaim the miraculous power of God to reap victory from tragedy. Christine has since traded the corporate world for the art world and now operates Hill Country Bazaar, an online gift shop featuring unique crafts from the Texas Hill Country. She has also embarked on her second book, which is scheduled for publication in early 2009.
