Book Summary
As a youngster, trying to find his place in life, a quirky flying squirrel realizes he is able to adapt with chickens after being plucked from a pickle barrel. Abandoned by his mom and dad, he's taken 'under the wing' of a rooster, eventually striking out in search of his true squirrel identity. He finds himself once again adapting, this time with a family of humans. And so the adventure begins...
Author Profile
As a mother/daughter team, Norma Mullican and Missy Zivney started writing a collection of children's stories in 1995. It was intended to be a legacy for their children only. The stories were stored in a closet for 13 years, and almost forgotten. Missy became a children's Minister in 2006. Norma began looking for a publisher and praying that God would use their forgotten book, even if it only helped one child know of God's love. When you pray to be in God's service He will be faithful to use you and whatever you have...even if all you have is a little children's book. Not perfect, but flawed just like us. 1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise...” In June of 2009 the book was published by a Christian publishing company. God paved the way to intersect their paths with the ministry ___For The Silent. The book is no longer the central focus of their ministry, but the vehicle that God will use to touch the lives of children silenced by trafficking and exploitation. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of this book go to ___For The Silent. Helping trafficked and exploited children through advocacy, prayer and fund raising initiatives. We are ordinary advocates using our voices to help bring prevention, rescue and aftercare to exploited children worldwide. www.forthesilent.org
