The two prophets lending title to this book, are best known for the miracles that God ordained them to perform.
Should not prophets be expected to prophesy? Yes… and these actually do, but most of their prophecies are hidden in the descriptions of their recorded miracles.

The Holy Spirit has drawn this cabinetmaker to undertake a serious study of God’s Word over the last twenty years, which has consistently shown that the whole of His Book is written of Jesus Christ. Here offered as examples, are the many miracles of Elijah and Elisha, which initially seem puzzling and unconnected, but the Biblical Author’s incisive descriptions allow them to dovetail perfectly with His presentations of both prophecy and the Gospel of Christ. Who knows whether their testimony was meant for such a time as this?
