“THE NEW PIONEERS” is written by the students from both campuses of SonHaven Preparatory Academy, Inc. in Sarasota and Wauchula, Florida. With a foreword by State Representative, Ben Albritton, Jr., a multi-generational Floridian, it is sure to inspire children and adults alike.
Both campuses were founded by Rev. Dr. Thomas H. and Dr. Carolyn L. Hilt who settled in Florida after25+ years as overseas missionaries in Okinawa and Guam. Blessed with 42 years of marriage they have seen their daughter graduate from their overseas school and their five grandchildren attend their Florida campuses. SonHaven in Florida celebrates its 10th year while their school, Evangelical Christian Academy in Guam is now in its 30th year.
Listed in various “Who’s Who” publications, the Hilts bring their unique expertise to Christian education by teaching each child as an individual. Honor Roll is the norm instead of the exception as each child masters the curriculum and is never allowed to fail.
Successes include five interns in Congress, with graduates from Notre Dame, Marquette School of Law, Stanford, Oxford, Georgetown and Gordon. Enlisted personnel and officers have served in all branches of the military.
They hope you will be encouraged to communicate to children the oral history of your family so the spiritual values can be passed down to each generation. Prayerfully they will pass down to their children the lessons learned in pioneering a new Christian school and their walk of faith in the Lord.
