Born and raised in Schenectady,
NY, John Schettine did not respond to the Lord’s call on his life until the age
of 27. Before knowing Christ, he lived a life filled with drugs, alcohol abuse,
violence, and incarceration.

After the heartbreak of divorce,
John hitchhiked throughout the United States and Canada in the late 1970s to
try to heal and find himself. Instead, the Lord found him – pulling him from
the miry clay, as the song says. He has been a Christian for three decades. He
has two grown children who follow Jesus and three grandchildren.

This is his first novel, and he
says, “If it reaches even one lost soul with the Good News, it will be worth
the effort.”
