“Sometimes life makes no sense!” shouted Grace out of her car window.
“God I don’t understand! If You love us so much why do You allow heartache?”
The battle between anger and disappointment raged within Grace as she tried to make sense of the apparent mess her life was in. She knew this visit to see her grandparents would be difficult especially with the news of her Papa’s poor health. But Grace’s mind was not focused on that yet. The drive had sparked a barrage of memories. Thoughts and scenarios locked away in her heart were being ignited.
Grace, now twenty six years old had purposed long ago that the best way to avoid pain was to close her heart. Consequently, her life was now spinning out of control and many days she felt as though her life would come undone with all the unresolved baggage in her heart.
Some of Grace’s most treasured memories took place sitting with her Papa on the porch facing the beautiful green meadows and forest. Little did Grace know the significance of all those hours hearing about a loving God. How her untrusting heart would soon collide with the Key that would unlock her imprisoned heart.
