The grace message has often been accused of giving people a license to sin. Grace, however, is not a license. Grace is a leash. Grace will motivate me to do what no list of rules could ever motivate me to do. Grace will also restrain me from doing what no list of rules could restrain me from doing. Grace does not give a person liberty to sin. Grace gives a person freedom to obey.
