LONGWOOD, FL-Every one of us weathers trials and tribulations in life, but when we have an anchor in God, we can make it. Robert was a very manly man with a muscular build, broad shoulders, a bald head, and a goatee; he stood about 6'4". An entrepreneur, he was the president of his own organization, a Christian motorcycle ministry called The Heavenly Riders. Robert had a kind heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He possessed only one flaw: unforgiveness. After an eye-opening trip to hell, Robert's attitude changed entirely.
Robert's story, documented by his wife Annette Callicutt-Foley in A Biker's Wife Testimony (paperback, 978-1-60266-874-4), comprises three stages of his life a near fatal accident, his dance with death, and the spiritual growth that came from it. The miracle-working that took place in Robert's life shortly thereafter further illustrates the relationship between God and man, as well as spotlights human frailty.
"God healed my husband and provided for my family when we didn't know where our next meal [would come from] or how we were going to pay our bills," says the author. "God stepped in and provided our fellow man to [help with] our finances. After the accident I learned how to exercise my faith in God."
Annette Callicutt-Foley and her husband, Robert, have six grandchildren. She has been an employee at Arkansas Children's Hospital for the past sixteen years.
