Christians and End-Time Asteroid Collide In the Blink of an Eye
Work of fiction examines last days and rapture under a microscope

LONGWOOD, FL-Bradley Clark Hopkins' high-energy novel, In the Blink of an Eye ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60266-299-5), contains a possible scenario for the imminent return of Christ and ways to make sure you are part of the rapture. "The New Testament prophecies about the blessed hope have not been taught by the mainstream churches since the third century," says Hopkins. "I want readers who havenŐt heard about the rapture, or who have been told it is not biblically sound doctrine, to be encouraged by this story."

In the story, the world is in turmoil, battling an influenza pandemic and the threat of an asteroid plummeting towards earth. General Clarence Brandt is the country's point man to deflect the asteroid. He thinks they are going to just make their launch window when, all over the world, hundreds of millions of people disappear in the blink of an eye!

Since getting saved in 1998, Hopkins has had an insatiable urge to study and learn everything he could about the last days. Even though his novel is now complete, he is still on that quest. "I have been studying this topic since January 1999 to the exclusion of almost everything else," says Hopkins. "I've always wanted an author to describe the 'Father's House' or what our 'glorified bodies' will be like. Since I never found a book that did this, I decided to write my own."

Bradley Clark Hopkins was born in Cuba, New York, in 1954. He graduated from Churchville-Chili High School in 1972. He has four children and four grandchildren.
