LONGWOOD, FL-We all hear the stories of heroic acts of war. But what about the heroes on the home front who struggle to live each day with a threatening illness? Such was the battle author Claudette Moss faced in the fall of 2000 when she began experiencing numbness and pain and muscle deterioration in her hands and feet. The diagnosis: incurable muscular dystrophy.
Says Moss, "I drove home that cold fall day not knowing what to think. I just drove into the driveway, exited the car, and immediately went inside the house and opened my Bible. I did not even flip through the pages, I just grabbed it, opened it, and there a verse stood outÉI began to read a scripture entitled 'The God of All Comfort.'"
Moss began to feel uncertain, scared, and insecure about the future. Led by faith to tell the struggles of her story, she has candidly penned her personal testimony, Triumph Through Faith (paperback, 978-1-60034-941-6; hardcover, 978-1-60034-942-3), in the hopes that it will encourage others to persevere through any situation.
Says Moss, "This book will give hope and guide [those] facing uncertainty in the many different situations we face in this life. I want readers to know they can overcome and persevere through any situation, because through faith we have hope. I am a wife and mother who, through faith, is strengthened and overcomes daily obstacles."
Author Claudette Moss is a wife, mother, and homeschool mom. She resides with her family in Northern Michigan.
