LONGWOOD, FL-October is "Discover America Month." A new book takes a look at how religious faith is central to the founding of this nation. Wake Up and Smell the Truth: A look at our nation's founding principles and the failure of liberalism (August, $13.99, 1-59781-429-6) is based upon an understanding of the Founding Fathers' worldview. Berman's book hits on fifteen hot-button issues such as abortion, taxes, education, United States sovereignty, and many more.
For conservative readers, knowing their Judeo-Christian beliefs and values and being able to express them effectively are two different things. In Wake Up and Smell the Truth, Rev. David Berman presents clear and logical arguments that will help you articulate those points better and nudge potential fence-sitters into clarifying their stance. Both unabashed and direct, the book registers a big fat zero on the "political correctness" meter.
"One of the things that most disturbs me is the willingness of average people to accept illogical positions as truth," says Berman. "Over and over again the pop culture says absurd things and people just say, 'Okay, it must be so.'" In this hard-hitting look at our nation's decline, the author lays out logical arguments to prove that liberalism and relativism are illogical.
