Afflicted Author Learns Keys to Defeat This Present Darkness
God was at his side during two long, faith-filled hospital stays

LONGWOOD, FL-The Bible declares that God is faithful and He never leaves us nor forsakes us (Joshua 1:5). That statement was proven irrevocably true when Xulon author Erik Loebl was faced with a life-threatening surgery and was ultimately delivered from his times of trouble by his present help, God. A Light in the Midst of Darkness (paperback, 978-1-60266-393-0) is a true, fascinating firsthand account of LoeblŐs struggle with a darkness that threatened him and his entire family.

On September 22, 2005, Loebl went to the hospital to remove a golf ball-sized tumor from the back of his head, and while there, the doctors diagnosed him with Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma, and he was dubbed a "walking dead man" by them. During his stay at two different hospitals, God healed his body and kept him from any damage, provided for all of his family's needs, and did His perfect work in their lives.

Says Loebl, "My strength and courage to move forward have come and continue to come from the Lord. God is using this experience to open up new doors of opportunity in my life. I would like for readers to get the hope that God can heal and provide for His people's needs the same way He did for me and my family. Since God does not prefer one person more than another, the He can do the same thing in your life."

Erik Loebl, his wife, Adriana, and their children, Kayla, Jonathan, Gabriela, and Josiah currently live in Houston, Texas. He and his wife have been involved with the children's ministry for about 17 years. He currently teaches the first and second grade boys' Sunday school class at the Encourager Church.
