Are You More Than a Conqueror?
Claim Your Power over the True Enemy

LONGWOOD, FL-Pastor Fred Brako wrote Don't Run From the Battle (paperback, 978-1-60477-228-9) as a simple encouragement for Christians who feel overwhelmed by the daily battles and struggles of this world. Brako doesn't shy away from the fact that there is a real enemy, but he reminds Christians of the power they have over him. He believes the terrorist attacks of September 11 should have created a corresponding shift in the church's approach to spiritual warfare.

"If the children of God know the incredible power they have over the works of Satan through the finished work of Christ, they will accept life's struggles and challenges with a more-than-conqueror mentality," says Brako. His book is a practical, easy-to-read guideline for relevant daily living, approached from a psycho-spiritual perspective.

As director of biblical counseling at New Covenant Church in Philadelphia, Pastor Brako has been able to put the advice in his writing to the test. As a pastor, Brako has experienced his own personal battles in the spiritual realm and shares the wisdom of his experience with his readers.

Along with his counseling position, Pastor Fred Brako currently serves as associate pastor at New Covenant Church. Brako received his training at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and Central University College in Accra, Ghana. Brako presently is a PhD student in couples and family therapy at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he lives with his wife Edith and their two children, Frederick and Freda.
