LONGWOOD, FL-The Other Side of Black Mountain (paperback, 978-1-60477-384-2) explores the dynamics of three lives colliding: one who won't forget, one who must forget, and one who must remember. This story of healing teaches readers to never lose hope, for all things work together for those who love the Lord. Jim Jenkins, the author who wrote the book, says, "This book idea came to me in a dream. I have never written a book before, but I think God has used this process to open my heart wider. I hope others are touched with the basic message of forgiveness and transformation, as I was."
After growing up in a very dysfunctional and dark home, Jenkins came to realize that God was with him all along. Once he was able to realize this and forgive those who hurt me, he was able to change. Now, talking about God to others always brings him peace, and he hopes that readers of his book will be able to find their place with Him.
Says Jenkins, "I hope my readers experience a sense 'magic' as they read how God can orchestrate circumstances for the good of His children. This is my hope because I was in a very dark place when I was a child, and with prayer and healing I could look back and see how God was present all along the way. He does not abandon us."
Jim Jenkins, a doctor of chiropractic, practices in Bartlett, Illinois, with his wife, Dr. Moira. He is the father of three girls and one boy and finds rest and healing in creative writing.
