Champion Athlete Embarks on Pilgrimage for Metaphorical 'Ark'
Book focuses on letting God work through us, the church

LONGWOOD, FL-For generations, people have searched for the elusive Ark of the Covenant. Many theories have been posited, but no absolutes. In Jimmy C. Clayton's New Ark of the Covenant Found: Even the Death of the Cross (paperback, 978-1-60266-618-4), readers will examine where the "new" Ark of the Covenant has been found. Our true search, says Clayton, should focus on submitting ourselves to God and letting Him work in and through us, the church.

A continuation of his previous book, Rebuilding Your House and Looking for Love in All the Wrong PlacesÑboth of which deal with rebuilding your "inner" house in a godly manner-Clayton's second book brings the theme full circle by adding "mortar" to the preexisting foundation. Says the author, "I want the readers who are not Christians and the ones who are Christians to understand what Jesus did for them on the cross when He shed His own blood. I want the world to know that the true search should be in finding the new Ark of the Covenant."

A former football athlete, wrestling champ, and championship body builder, Clayton climbed out of the ring in 1973 and began serving the real champ-Jesus Christ. This relationship gave rise to ClaytonÕs belief-and the book's operating principleÑthat "if God can use me, He can use anybody."

Jimmy C. Clayton was ordained in 1981 in the Garden of Prayer Church. He and his wife Denise reside in San Dimas, California.
