Torn Temple Veil Opens the Way to Intimacy with God
Author reveals the secret to abundant Christian living

LONGWOOD, FL-When Jesus died at Calvary, the earth shook, rocks split, and tombs broke open. But the very first thing that happened was the rending of the veil that separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. The tearing of that veil signified that intimacy had been restored between God and His people. No longer was there any separation. God invited His people into the holiest place to enjoy Him and the fullness of life in Him. Author Linda Jennings describes this relationship with God as "life within the veil." In her new book, Life Within the Veil: The Life We Are Called to Live (paperback, 978-1-60266-403-6), she explains how to move beyond our current understanding of church life into a powerful intimacy with the God of the universe.

"I lived in the rat race of ministry for a number of years," says Jennings. "I ran fast and I served hard, but I knew nothing of intimacy with God. Only when I stepped out of the rat race and into His presence, did I come to know the wonder of intimacy with Him. This intimacy is found within the veil." According to Jennings, the church has failed to realize the spiritual blessings available; we have access to the holy of holies, but we fail to enter in. She says that the time is now for the church to move into the fullness of abundant life that God intended from the very beginning.

Linda Jennings and her husband live in Newnan, Georgia. She holds undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology from Jacksonville University and earned two graduate degrees in theologyÑan MA in biblical studies and a Master of Divinity from Regent University. She has been involved in pastoring, teaching, and community outreach and is co-host of the television program Tea with Maggie and Linda.
