Though Cameron was a Christian, it took a moment of total despair for her to call upon God through prayer. By doing so, she was able to fully understand the urgency of repenting of sins. "God is merciful, gracious, and forgiving. Yet without repentance, how can He forgive us?" says Cameron. "When any of us chooses to live in sin, we are automatically separating ourselves from or turning our backs on God, which is why order and disorder, obedience and disobedience, truth and lies, faith and fear, peace and violence, love and hate, and salvation and sin cannot co-exist."
