LONGWOOD, FL-Every day a staggering number of activities vies for our attention. We barely give God even a perfunctory request to bless what we have already planned to do. Many things entice our focus away from Christ, but those things will pass away-perhaps sooner than we think. Author Peggy Britt highlights some of the things that do matter in Abiding in the Vine: Learning to Live in God's Best (paperback, 978-1-60266-308-4).
"[The book] is filled with practical life stories and biblical principles that will enable the reader to understand and apply to their lives with renewed excitement," says Britt, a two-time author. "It is based on Scripture; it is applicable to real life; it will assist in growth; and it will encourage, exhort, and bless the believer." If you long for a more fulfilling relationship with God, a fascinating journey awaits you in Abiding in the Vine.
Though Britt has always been a student of the Bible, she left her job in administration and management due to the lure of writing. She spent the past 15 years in concentrated study, researching the information in her book through a variety of different avenues. Her scholarly influences include G. Campbell Morgan, J. Vernon McGee, Frank E. Gaebelein, Spiros Zodhiates, William MacDonald, and others. It was these works and God's call on her life from which she drew the inspiration for Abiding in the Vine.
Peggy Britt is the last of 11 children. She is mother to Eric and Kristin, and grandmother to Maci and John. She lives in the Central Valley of California.
